- 1X2
- A betting market where you pick either the home win (1), draw (X), or away win (2).
- Accumulator
- A single bet that links multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap applied to a team to remove the draw option, giving a spread of possible outcomes.
- Back Bet
- Betting that an outcome WILL happen, the opposite of a lay bet.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of setting a budget for betting and deciding how much to stake on each bet.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that allows you to combine different markets from the same match into one custom wager.
- Bet Settlement
- The process of calculating and paying out winnings after the result of a bet is determined.
- Bookmaker Margin
- The built-in profit margin a bookmaker includes in the odds, also called the overround.
- Both Teams to Score
- A wager on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle your bet for a chosen amount before the event finishes.
- Dutching
- Spreading your stake across several outcomes so that you earn the same profit regardless of which one wins.
- Hedge
- Placing additional bets to offset potential loss or secure a guaranteed profit after an original bet.
- KYC
- Know Your Customer – the process of verifying a player's identity to prevent fraud and ensure legal compliance.
- Lay Betting
- Betting that an outcome will NOT happen, essentially acting as the bookmaker on a betting exchange.
- Live Betting
- Placing bets on events while they are actually happening, with odds that update in real time.
- Maximum Payout
- The highest amount a bookmaker will pay out on a winning bet, often limited per market or bet type.
- Odds
- Odds represent the likelihood of an outcome and determine how much you can win relative to your stake.
- Odds Movement
- The change in odds leading up to a match, often caused by new information or betting volume.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be over or under a set figure.
- Responsible Gambling
- Guidelines and tools designed to help players stay in control and avoid problematic betting behavior.
- Self-Exclusion
- A voluntary option that lets you block access to your betting account for a set period of time.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a particular bet.
- Surebet
- A situation where odds on all possible outcomes guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Unit
- A standard measurement of stake size, often a small percentage of your total bankroll, used to control risk.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true chance of the outcome, suggesting a potential profit.
